Details

Your artwork on a stretched canvas set inside a wood frame, in black, dark wood or natural wood. Three canvas sizes, 30 × 40, 40 × 50 and 50 × 70 cm, measured across the canvas face; the frame adds to the outside dimensions. Portrait and landscape are both supported, and the production file includes the wrap the supplier needs around the canvas edges.

Prepare your image

Upload the original file, never a screenshot. At 300 dpi or more a size is graded Sharpest; from 140 to 300 dpi it prints well; below 140 dpi you cannot choose it. Keep faces and lettering clear of the edges. Prepare your artwork

How the scene studio works
  1. A painted expedition commander on a workbench, still on its display base

Start with a photo of your painted miniature.

  2. The same commander standing in a badlands outpost, with the workbench and display base gone

Pick a setting. A watermarked preview comes back with the display base taken out.

  3. The same commander in its scene, printed as an A2 framed print on a wall above a shelf of painted figures

Compare it with your original, approve it, then choose a size and add it to your basket.

Your preview is made from your uploaded miniature.

Your paintwork is the starting point

AI can change small details. Compare your selected scene with the original photo, especially faces, equipment, colours, and brushwork. Approve only a result you want printed. To keep an existing image unchanged by AI, print your artwork directly.

Photos that make good scenes

Stand the figure on plain card in soft light, and take the photo level with its face, with the whole model and its base in the frame. The scene keeps the pose you photographed and swaps the display base for ground that suits the setting. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB, at least 800 pixels on its shortest side. Photographing your miniature goes through the light and the angle.
