Print artwork on canvas, from a painting to the miniature that took weeks and now gets a wall of its own. Photograph the finished figure and print it as it is, or place it in a scene made from that photo, then have it stretched over a 2 cm wooden stretcher. Small work needs a sharp photo and a generous crop at this scale. The woven surface gives brush marks and layered highlights a texture that paper does not, and the depth of the edge lifts the piece off the wall.
Print artwork on canvas: a painted figure
Hours of layering, edge highlights and freehand end up on a figure a few centimetres tall. On canvas, that work becomes the size of a window. Start with a sharp, evenly lit photo of the painted model, then choose a route. “Print as it is” keeps your photo unchanged. “Create a scene” sets the figure in a new place, which suits a character with a story.
What happens at the sides
Your picture is not wrapped round the edge. The front shows the full image you approved; the sides carry a soft, blurred band made from that picture's own colours, so the edge looks like part of the piece without folding a face or a hand out of view. The front stays exactly the crop you saw.
A scene made from your figure
If you choose a scene, you see each preview before anything is printed, and only the one you approve goes to canvas. Put it next to your original photo and compare the face, the hands, the colours and any freehand. A scene is not guaranteed to keep every painted or sculpted detail, so reject one that changes something you care about and print the original instead.
Do canvas prints look cheap?
They can, and the cause is usually the file, not the canvas: a soft photo, or a crop that runs tight to the edge. If a size is greyed out, your file is too small for it. Start from a sharp, evenly lit photo of the model. Then leave some room between the edge of the front and anything that matters: the face, the tip of a weapon, a signature or a base label. A tight crop that works on screen can feel cramped once it is on the wall. The preview shows the area that prints on the front, so check it at the size you have chosen before you order.
Four sizes, 30 x 40 to 60 x 80 cm
The canvas comes in 30 x 40, 40 x 50, 50 x 70 and 60 x 80 cm. The smaller two suit a single figure on a shelf wall or in a hobby room; the larger two carry a whole scene or a painted army.
