A personalised mug puts your artwork in your hand every morning. It is an 11 oz white ceramic mug, printed with the drawing, painting or painted figure you upload. The printable area is smaller than the mug itself, so the design sits on the body instead of covering every surface. Pick an image with a clear centre and it reads well from across a desk or a kitchen table.
What suits a personalised mug
A single figure, a face, a creature or a simple repeat works best. A painted miniature against a plain background is a natural fit: the figure stays sharp and the curve of the mug does not pull anything important out of view. Wide panoramas, tiny lettering and scenes with a lot going on at the edges tend to crowd on a curved surface.

One size, 11 oz
There is one mug in the range, an 11 oz white ceramic mug. White behind the print keeps colours clean, and a painted figure on a white background blends into the mug instead of sitting in a box. If your artwork has a coloured background, check the preview to see where it stops. A hard edge on a coloured block is easy to miss on a small screen, so zoom in on the preview before you order.
Gifts for painters and players
A mug of someone's own painted figure is a small gift that gets used. It suits a painting group, a gaming night or a secret santa where the budget is modest. Ask before you print someone else's work: having a photo of it is not the same as permission. Our guide to printing artwork on a mug goes further, and personalised gifts for mums covers a mug made from a child's drawing. For a partner, personalised Valentine's gifts starts from a photo of the two of you.

Getting a painted figure onto a mug
Photograph the figure against white or a pale grey card, so the background fades into the mug instead of leaving a hard box. Use soft light from one side and keep the camera level with the face. A single figure fills the printable area better than a group, which shrinks each model to fit. If you want the same picture for work or the gym, the water bottle takes it too.
Checking the preview
Upload the image, look at where the printable area falls, and try a different crop if a hand or a weapon runs off the side. The upload also checks resolution, and a file that is too small cannot be ordered. Your mug's tracking arrives by email once it ships, and delivery and returns sets out how long it takes.
